Kate Park Memorial Park is a 1.5 acre park next to the Gilbreath Memorial Library in Winnsboro, Texas. In October 2020, the Winnsboro City Council unanimously approved naming the park after Katharine “Kate” Frances Park, a Winnsboro native whose life ended at the young age of 40 from a rare brain disease. “Park” was not just in her name, Kate loved the outdoors, taking walks, hiking state parks and recharging with a dose of fresh air.
